Cosmically speaking...
Does it really matter if I get up now?
And go to school, of all places?
Would I mind so much if I were going to England
Or Betelgeuse Five maybe?
Could I, by the same token,
Just throw my alarm clock out the window and
Let my parents run over it?
If the world were to end a week from Thursday, would anyone notice?
Or will it do so now, just because I need some extra sleep?
Does one of my early-morning decisions
Really make that big a mark on Life
The Universe
Everything?
Should I just stop griping and get up already
Or continue this defying-normality kick?
Am I subconsciously trying to avoid a test?
If so, does waiting a day
Cosmically speaking
Matter all that much?
If not, will I end everything due to my refusal to GET UP?!?
...
Certainly doesn’t seem to be the case.
